Community Leadership and Service is not your typical High School Elective. Unique characteristics of this course benefit students:
- Students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from real
community and charitable leaders, helping them apply their course learnings to relevant, real-world efforts.
- The service-learning component of this course means students
will get to apply their learnings to creating and completing projects that benefit the community right then and there - their ability to make an impact will be literal and visible throughout the course.
- Students will be able to build upon any existing volunteer or
leadership experiences, taking them to the next level, and learning about options for further involvement in helping the community: from public leadership positions, to philanthropic careers.
- ME³ will offer a $500 scholarship to an exemplary student in
this course; only students taking this course are eligible.
