Communities In Action
Organization Introduction
"In every community, there is work to be done.
In every nation, there are wounds to heal.
In every heart, there is the power to do it."
--Marianne Williamson
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY JOINED COMMUNITIES IN ACTION AND WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE US ON YOUR ORGANIZATIONS
NEEDS
AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES, USE THIS FORM.

Are you in need of a hand? We can help.

ME³ would like to invite your organization to participate in Communities In Action, our volunteer registry. If you’ve never heard of
us, ME³ stands for “Motivate, Educate, Empower, and Engage,” and our goals are just that simple. We are a non-profit based in
Wake County working to promote volunteerism and community involvement, and we believe in recruiting and engaging more
volunteers for causes like your own. In short, our goal is finding you the help for you to reach your goals!

How We Work

In January 2008, ME³ began finding and placing volunteers through Communities In Action. Volunteers from Communities In Action
can provide help in any specific area your organization may need. All we need from you is to know what help your organization
could use from a volunteer. Times and locations that volunteers may be needed, essential and preferable skills, type of activity,
frequency, volunteer training required, plus any other relevant bits of information, should all be sent our way through our
Needs
Assessment Form
and following Volunteer Opportunity Form. Once we know your needs our Program Coordinator can begin
matching individuals in our program with your organization based on volunteers’ own preferences and availability. Once a volunteer
is placed, we’ll ask for feedback from both your organization and placed volunteers to ensure a mutually satisfied experience. Your
organization can use
this Service Evaluation Form as a template to evaluate your experience with our volunteers and as a partner
in Communities In Action
every year.

What’s the Catch?

Only that everyone ends up smiling. Our only condition is that the volunteer be satisfied with his or her placement in your
organization, and of course that you work with us in ensuring every volunteer placement is successful. We do not aim to simply
“send bodies” in anyone’s direction, but rather prioritize quality over quantity. The better fit each volunteer is with his or her
placement, the more likely he or she will stay committed to that cause and organization, to say nothing of staying committed to
community service in general and infecting others with a helping spirit. To this end, we do require you commit to providing us
feedback on the volunteer; as well your agreement to be as honest as possible in describing the volunteer positions your
organization is looking to fill.

Let’s Get Started

Once we have your information, an ME³ representative will contact you to confirm your participation and clarify the details of your
volunteer openings. We are eager to work with you and your organization to help out however you may need us! Please contact us
at
cia@me-3.org with any questions.
