ME³ conducted its first ever public forum on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Talley Student Center at NC State University. The topic:
Community and Youth Engagement. It was one of a series of similar forums hosted across several southern states, designed by the Southern
Growth Policies Board. Panelists for the forum included: Mike Giancola, Director of the NC State Center for Student Leadership, Ethics, and Public
Service; John White of Generation Engage; Melinda Pearce of NCGives; Nicholas Turza, Vice President of ME³, and John Comer, Director of the
Raleigh chapter of ACORN.

they care."

passions are different, but how each can be used to make the world
better. Left: Audience member, Ronnie, echoes Flo's sentiments,
explaining that "if you try to solve all the world's problems at once,
you'll go crazy."
After the main part of the Forum, the Southern Growth Policies Board

further insight on community and youth engagement. Right: Audience
members meet and greet.
