Communities In Action What is Communities In Action (CIA)?
What is ME³'s Communities In Action (CIA)?
ME³ stands for Motivate, Educate, Empower, and Engage. Our goal is to make getting involved in helping the community and empowering people to do so as easy and fulfilling as possible. That’s what Communities In Action is all about.
Communities In Action (CIA) is a 'databank' of individuals in Wake County, NC, who have signed up to get involved in helping the community become a brighter, happier place to live for everybody. It is ideal for first-time or 'veteran' volunteers.
Individuals who sign up for CIA are assigned a special program liaison called a CIA Agent. This person helps guide and connect CIA volunteers with opportunities to help out in Wake County communities that match their skills, interests, and schedules. The organizations and charitable efforts they are paired with greatly benefit, getting the help they need to make an even bigger difference.
Benefits of Participating in Communities In Action (CIA)
Aside from the great feeling of doing something good for the community, individuals registered in CIA get opportunities to meet others helping the community at our Communities In Action events, and opportunities to receive training to improve skills that can help a local cause in crucial ways, such as training in emergency response, charitable fundraising and grant-writing, or building community leadership ability!
